Nearly four years after leaving Liverpool, Sadio Mane continues to shine in the Saudi Pro League with Al-Nassr.
Currently leading the league, Al-Nassr's success owes much to the outstanding form of the former Liverpool star.
Although Al-Nassr has suffered three losses and one draw this season, they have not dropped a single point in any match where Mane has featured.
Sadio Mane Has Won All His Saudi Pro League Games in 2025/26
Mane lifted the AFCON trophy earlier this season, defeating Mohamed Salah’s Egypt on the way to the final.
During his international duty, the former Liverpool forward missed seven league matches, during which Al-Nassr dropped 11 points.
However, before his departure and after his return, Mane has maintained a perfect winning record in the league.
So far this season, he has made 18 appearances in the Saudi Pro League, scoring seven goals and providing five assists, all while securing maximum points in those matches.
This remarkable achievement is something even Cristiano Ronaldo has not matched at the same club.
Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr as a free agent in January 2023. His best chance to equal Mane’s record was during his first half-season with the club.
However, in the 16 league games he played, Al-Nassr suffered two defeats and four draws.
What Sadio Mane Said About Leaving Liverpool
With Mane still excelling in Saudi Arabia and Liverpool’s current senior left wingers struggling, many fans might wish the 33-year-old had stayed longer at Anfield.
However, after leaving Bayern Munich in the summer of 2022, Mane opened up about his departure from Liverpool in an interview last November.
He said: “Liverpool was like home. It was my comfort zone. I wanted to try something else because I had almost won everything there.”
“My challenge wasn’t about other things that could happen or any distractions. For me, that wasn’t important.”
“The motivation was to leave my comfort zone and experience something new elsewhere. That’s why I said, ‘Okay, let’s try. Why not?’”
